WOPOZI is proud to announce that we will be producing a new issue! The upcoming issue will feature the work of artists living and/or making work in Queens, NY and will be selected from an open call for submissions.

 

WOPOZI is a publication that acts as an unorthodox exhibition space, a portable gallery, that showcases the work of individuals working in a variety of art forms. With its nation-wide distribution it is a catalyst for artists to reach an extended audience.

 

WOPOZI has an open submission policy. For the upcoming issue we welcome artists living and/or making work in Queens, NY to submit their paintings, drawings, photographs, poetry, prose, interviews, etc. to be considered for publication.

 

WOPOZI does not collect a submission fee and does not require anyone to submit a resume. It is important that the artists are selected based on their written and visual work samples. The publication reflects the collaborative efforts of the contributors and the editors.

 

WOPOZI is always free of charge!

OUR CURRENT SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th, 2019

OPEN CALL GUIDELINES

If you wish to submit please include the following in an email to wopozine@gmail.com:

​

- 500 word max description of artistic practice/bio (can be VERY casual! Just a couple of sentences about you and your

  work)

- Link to personal website (optional)

- VISUAL -  8 submissions max with correlating title list in body of the e-mail.

  Format: .jpg, 300dpi, no larger than 3300 pixels on the largest side. 

  Labeled: LastName_1.jpg, LastName_2.jpg, etc.

- WRITTEN - 4 submissions max with correlating title list in the body of the e-mail.

  Format: .doc, double spaced, 12pt font, 4 pages max per submission (unless 

  alternative format is essential to the piece)

The email subject should read "WOPOZI QUEENS SUBMISSION - FirstName LastName".

Failure to submit materials as noted will not be reviewed.
